Human Pyramids : Thank You (to be released on 17th January, 2025)
The instrumental rock orchestra filled with euphoric and dashing sounds, again.
The first album, 'Planet Shhh!', which amazed the music fans throughout the world with their the vivid sound and of which the first pressing sold out in just 10 days. The second album, 'Home', which came highly acclaimed by well-known music media outlets such as The Guardian, The Skinny, and Prog Magazine. The third album, 'Power Pose', which captivated the audience on the West Holts Stage with renowned artists such as Underworld, James Blake, and Earth, Wind and Fire at Glastonbury Festival.
Now, the 12 piece cinematic instrumental rock orchestra produced by Scotland-based multi-instrumentalist, Paul Russell, return with ‘Thank You', their first album in five years, to bring in a new year.
The grand orchestration, the strings section like violin and cello; the brass instruments such as trumpet and french horn; the rhythm formed by mighty, groovy drums and melodious tuned percussion such as marimba and vibraphone; the lovely melodies composed by Paul Russell who often creates music for films and commercial advertises and the addition of the exisotic sounds from steelpan and hammered darsimer which are new instruments for them, made the world of Human Pyramids, already filled with euphoric sounds, the the more emotional and fantastical.
This album was mixed by Paul Russell and then masted by a Grammy award winning engineer, Alan Douches, who workd on some works from prestigious artists such as The Chemical Brothers, Fatboy Slim, Animal Collective, and Ben Folds Five at West West Side Music in New York. Additional production was completed at Chem 19 in Human Pyramids' home town, Glasgow, where MOGWAI, Arab Strap, and Aereogramme had also worked in the past. It is not too much to say that the talents who are very active at the forefront of music created this album, and its spellbinding sounds are worth hearing.
This is a masterpiece of 2025 which marks the new era of instrumental rock music, that we especially recommend to fans of Jónsi (Sigur Rós), Arcade Fire, José González, The Flaming Lips, and The Cinematic Orchestra, with confidence.
This album will be co-released by Ricco Label and a Scottish music label, Three Mile Town Records. The CD version is designed on a paper jacket by an illustrator, Carly Davies.
