Akamatsu : Saint Loup (to be released on 25th August, 2024)
A human powered high paced electronica song featuring retro and lo-fi sounds.
We will release a lead single 'Saint Loup' from 'Seminky' that is the third album from Akamatsu, a music project by Rémi Quéron, a French music composer and multi-instrumentalist who plays a piano, synthesizer, harmonium, and xylophone.
Akamatsu debuted as one of the participants of a compilation album 'Erik Satie et les Nouveaux Jeunes' with internationally renowned neoclassical artists Nils Frahm, Rachel Grimes, Julia Kent, and Sylvain Chauveau. After releasing two electronica albums featuring finely calculated fantastic sounds, Rémi Quéron created 'Seminky’, which means 'seeds' in the Czech language, based on acoustic instruments together with some instrument players from France and The Czech Republic.
This digital-limited lead single 'Saint Loup' is a human powered electronica song, led by high tempo drums performed by a guest player, Fabrice Bony, which is reminiscent of Tortoise and Jaga Jazzist, and a masterpiece of instrumental music featuring retro and lo-fi sounds of a synthesizer by Rémi Quéron, like the other songs on the album.
This song has already been released by Akamatsu himself and is available on digital music platforms such as Spotify and Apple Music, but it is also be available to download for free on Ricco Label's BandCamp page now.
This is a new masterpiece created by the fusion of electronica, jazz, and neo-classical.
'Seminky' will be released on a number-limited 15cm square-sized box version featuring the illustration drawn by Héloïse Robin. It includes three cards of print photos which Rémi Quéro took himself on the front and the poems of Annaïck Domergu, which feature on the album on the back, and one card which describes the handwritten album credit and self-liner notes for the album written by Rémi Quéro together with a copy of CD.
